Practicum Placement

*Please note: Due to present circumstances, in which we have not accepted new referrals for CAIRS, we cannot provide practicum placements. Further information regarding future placements will be provided as it becomes available.

CAIRS offers psychoeducational assessment as well as counselling psychology practicum placements. If you are interested in a placement with CAIRS, please submit the following: 

  1. A CV with cover letter. 
  2. A brief description of your training and skills. 
  3. Your reason for applying for a placement with CAIRS. 
  4. Preference for a placement in either assessment or counselling. 
  5. Number of hours and days per week required.
  6. Duration of placement (e.g. September through December; September through May, etc.)
  7. Please submit two references.

Provisional Supervision

Depending on the availability of Supervising Psychologists, CAIRS may able to offer supervision to individuals seeking independent licensure as a Psychologist, with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SKCP). This supervision, if approved by the SKCP, would count towards the required 1500 hours of supervised practice. If you are interested in seeking supervision through CAIRS, please submit the following: 

  1. Areas of competency as outlined by the SKCP.
  2. Whether you require primary/secondary supervision.
  3. Preferred start date.

After the initial inquiry: if CAIRS is able to take on provisional psychologists at the time of your request, you will be asked to submit the following documents: 

    1. A CV with cover letter. 
    2. A brief description of your training and skills. 
    3. Your reason for applying for a placement with CAIRS. 
    4. Preference for a placement in either assessment or counselling. 
    5. Number of hours and days per week required.
