About
Dr. Jing Xiao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration. Her areas of research include comparative and international education, higher education governance and administration, and internationalization of higher education. Prior to moving to Canada, she was an Assistant Professor at Xiamen University, China. She has worked extensively in research collaborations with scholars from both Canadian and Chinese academic communities.
Dr. Xiao’s recent research focuses on studying the impact of global geopolitical shifts on the governance of higher education, exploring institutional policies and practices in strategic internationalization, and examining how universities are developing programs, curricula, and pedagogies to respond to international student mobility.
Dr. Xiao has presented her research at national and international conferences and has been invited to give keynote presentations and lectures internationally. Currently she is working on several funded research projects investigating pedagogy and curriculum innovations to support intercultural learning experiences.
